A Rare Legend Of Holi By Rishab Verma

A Rare Legend Of Holi

By Rishab Verma

Hello readers, how are you these days...!!

It is my another blog post after Valentine's day. And it looks like all our Decatronians has been carried away in the vibe of love. It is funny to look at them, really, hopelessly falling and getting out of love again and again. They call this love, it's hilarious to me. Anyways, I am not in this business at all. So it's better not to talk about all these weird stuff.

Looks like winter has gone too early this time. Usually, in this time of the month, it's quite cold but now it feels like we have to turn on the AC again. I am sure it's the effect of global warming and it will lead to the decadence of humankind. And let me confess it in here that I have very scary feelings associated with that.

So, lets cut the eco-friendly talk here and discuss a bit about reasons for me being here. As you know everyone is celebrating the festival of colors, our teachers have instructed us to celebrate this festival or every other festival in a very unique way. and what is that...? Of course, it is to write blogs about these festivals and make some custom designs. As a designer, it's a quite creative thing but in other ways it's exhausting. Now, what do you expect me to do, quit enjoying and partying and sit in a dark room and write whatever I did with my imaginary friends? Com'on, that's not the way of celebrating. To celebrate any festival we need to take a break and get into the complete vibe of festivity.

But, looks like that will not be the case this time. In the festival of colors, we will not play with colors rather we will play with work and exhaustion. I know, now you might be saying, oh my god, this guy is complaining so much, think while putting yourself in my shoes.
It is a Holi post, and I have been talking absolutely senseless from such a long time, and I think I should stop and tell you some rare backstory of Holi and other mythological legends.
I don't know how much is this true but let's give it a shot, shall we?

It's a legend about Kashi's Vishwanath Temple and what is the significance of Holi there.
The people of Kashi abode of Lord Shiva celebrate the auspicious occasion of "Rang Vari Ekadashi" in a grand style and offer colors and flowers to Lord Shiva at Kashi's Vishwanath temple. This day marks the beginning of the celebration of the festival of colors "Holi". As per the tradition of the age-old city, the devotees perform various rituals soaked in the devotional essence of the festival. It is believed that Lord Shiva married Goddess Parvati on Maha Shivratri and Gauna was performed on "Rang Vari Ekadashi". The ideals of Lord Vishwanath and Goddess Parvati is especially dressed up in a unique costume of Khadi Fabric. They are worshipped in a very unique way on that auspicious occasion.
So, that was a bit of rare legend that I've heard from some relatives of mine and I hope you liked it too.

So, till then my friends Happy Holi to all of you from me and all my colleagues of Decatron family. To see more posts from our talented teammates make sure to check out our main page and follow us on our Facebook page. Till then good day to you all.
