My Heavenly Christmas Party By Praveen Pal
My Heavenly Christmas Party
By Praveen Pal
When the clock struck 8, my friends reminded me of the party I have promised to throw on the occasion of Christmas Eve. I horribly lost a bet with them and I had to keep my promise. We decided to hit a club nearby. I quickly got dressed up and we all went out for our party. I booked our seats earlier that's why it was not much problem. We started dancing and having lots of fun. We dance so much that I quickly got very tired & thirsty. To fetch a bottle of water I decided to go outside the club and reached my car at the parking spot. Because of some health issue, I had to drink boiled water(can't do other stuff).
OK! now as I was chugging my water down the throat my eyes caught into sight of a little girl on rags. On this chilly winter day, she was sitting on the footpath begging for food from people nearby and from cars. She was shivering so much.
That sight literally broke my heart I was so sad. What was her fault, to suffer so much in this cold day when everyone is grooving in the festive mood? I thought to do something. I decided to call my friends who were dancing at the club. As they came outside I showed them that scene and same as me they also became sad. We thought to buy her a sweater and give something to eat. God knows since when she might be hungry. We bought some sweater and a loaf and bread and butter for her and went up to her. Seeing all those stuff she was overjoyed. Smile of hers was mesmerizing. We all chatted with her a little bit.
She started telling her ordeal and I was stuck while listening to her condition. She was the eldest daughter of the family and she has her mom and two other siblings. She lived in a nearby slum. It was really heartbreaking when I heard that they couldn't even get two whole meals a day. We all friends thought to celebrate our rest of the night on that slum with other less fortunate children. So, we bought more foods, decorating and other party stuff and followed her to her 'slum'. There were many children like her. They were all happy when they saw us. We celebrated our whole night there dancing into our favorite song number with those lovely kids. That night was so special to me that I couldn't even describe that in words. It was really amazing. At last, we had our dinner with them and everyone started to leave. It was very late and was really getting cold. As we started to leave that little girl came running from behind and hugged me. It was really a priceless moment that I will always cherish that I shared that day. I was very happy and so were my friends. At last, we got back home.
And that one was my Christmas party. And that's how my friends everyone should celebrate. Because that's what Jesus said right, love your neighbor and sacrifice for those who are not getting enough. And the biggest Christmas spirit is to share, and that's what we all did.
So, my friends, it's time for me to sign out from Crimson Creed. Hope you all are celebrating like me. Till then, Merry Christmas and a happy new year from me and my colleagues.
Till then Bye!!
